Much of my life has been devoted to animals in some way. Even as a child I felt drawn to animals of all kinds. Very often I would bring home dogs, cats and once even a possum and a snake (much to the chagrin of my mother). I always knew I would have a career involving animals in some way but for many years was unsure exactly what that would be. My start in grooming came nearly 6 years ago very unexpectedly. The groomer at the vet I was working for at the time left, so the owner asked if I would like to learn to groom dogs. Little did I know she meant that she would give me a few books and videos and expect me to groom like a pro. I quickly realized if I wanted to make a career out of this I was going to need some real schooling.In February 2007 I went to grooming school in Greenville, SC learning show and pet trims on many breeds. In Novemeber of that year I moved back to Northwest Georgia where I had lived for 20 years prior and over 3 years since. I now live in Marietta with my dogs Mogwii and Reese and my cats Aslan and Figaro. I am always learning and growing both personally and professionally. One thing about me that has never changed is my love for and connection with animals. Volunteerism is important to me and I devote as much of my spare time as possible to giving back to the animals who have given me so much.
